Originally named 'Standby Pride', purchased by North Star in 1984, & renamed 'Grampian Pride'.



Scale: 1:42.   LOA: 1020.0 mm.   Breadth: 260.0 mm. draft: 82.0 mm.

Plank on frame hull covered in GRP. 

Fully radio controlled with working tunnel thrusters & Becker Rudder.

I am building the hull large enough to enable commercially made tunnel thrusters to be installed.

Tube to form opening for the none working Azimuthing Thruster.

The thruster will only be on the hull when on the stand, removed when model goes in the water.

In 2009 I obtained some photographs taken in a dry dock, which gave me a lot of details on the overall shape of the skeg & rudder.

I decided to alter the skeg & make a more accurate rudder using Etched Brass Components.
